Chords, Guitar Tablature & Lyrics
____________________________________________________________________________________

I think that there are 2 electric guitars in this one. I'm going to show you just the chords and a tip or two - you can take it from there. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.

By the way, I interpreted these chords from listening to the LP - I did not use any other written music as an aid in writing the tab presented on this page. If you think that I have made a mistake, please let me know about it by dropping me a quick note.

Click here if you want only the lyrics.

THE CHORDS:

F#...
(PIANO & GUITAR INTRO)

                                          B
well, babe, you could be a standing in my kitchen

                                        F#
or floating on your back in a deep blue sea

                                 B
a wiser is the man who seeks new visions

                                          F#
and tries to keep his heart and mind toll-free

      E B F#
look away, oh Lord, look away, yeah

      E B F# B
look away, oh Lord, look away

  F# B
a running along, peeking down hole and alley

                                          F#
just tryin' to find the Gospel, don't you know

                                           B
I heared the sound of a cryin' down in the valley,

                                       F#
but what is there - is only sticks and stones

      E B F#
look away, oh Lord, look away, yeah

      E B F#
look away, oh Lord, look away

                                           F#
you know that some of them women sure look good

                                               B
a checking it up and down, now you should have told me

                                           F#

(start of guitar solo)

      E B F#
look away,

      E B F#
look away,

      E B F#

TIPS:

Intro: The F# chord gets played for 16 measures (64 beats) before the vocal comes in.

Rest of Song: Try playing the stuff below when you see the F# and B chords (especially in the beginning, play the stuff in place of the F# chord). Play the 2s and 4s with your index and middle fingers - keep them both pressed down. Play the 6s with your pinkie. For each tab below, the only finger that needs to move is the pinkie.
