Chords, Guitar Tablature & Lyrics
____________________________________________________________________________________

I don't know about y'all, but I had one hell of a time tryin' to finger this one out! I seem to have a lot of trouble decipherin' Larry Lee songs (ie, Jackie Blue, which Lee co-wrote with Steve Cash was also very tricky).

Anyway, I think that there are three acoustic guitars playing rhythm in this song. There are also at least two electrics - one which does a beautiful slow picking during the verse and ending guitar solo. I know that there is a sweet electric guitar twin-solo in the middle of the song and a killer electric lead at the end - but I can't tab them at this time - I've already spent too much time on this one song. So, I'm just going to show you the chords - you can take it from there. Be sure to visit my tab page in order to understand how I write tablature on the web.

By the way, I interpreted these chords from listening to the CD - I did not use any other written music as an aid in writing the tab presented on this page. If you think that I have made a mistake, please let me know about it by dropping me a quick note.

TIPS:

During the intro, keep your 2nd finger down on the 1st string on all chords but the Dsus4/E - it sure makes playin' a lot easier.

The strumming is pretty much one big strum on every beat.

When switching between the string of Bm chords with the descending bass notes (Bm/B, /A, /G#,/G), keep the f# note (1st string, 2nd fret) ringing throughout. The first finger must press firmly across the entire keyboard - it's a bitch, but it can be done! Also, if you think of the Bm/G as a Gmaj7th - that makes the fingering not seem so convoluted.

Note that the G chord is not the usual fingering - make sure you do not play the 1st string.
